Job Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist I provides diagnostic evaluations and intervention programs for children with speech, language, learning, feeding/swallowing, or hearing disorders in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and telehealth programs.
About the Role
This is an entry-level position in a Career Advancement Program (CAP).
Responsibilities
- Completes case management activities consistent with department quality assurance and quality improvement standards.
- Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames.
- Affords assistance in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
- Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools, and other educational institutions, and other providers to ensure the continuity of care for the child and optimal clinical services.
- Ensures all interactions are non-judgmental and based on mutual respect.
- Demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to improve the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital.
- Completes diagnostic evaluations consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology and department quality assurance standards.
- Provides developmentally appropriate intervention services consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology and department quality assurance standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)-Speech-Language Pathologist.
- State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
