Speech Language Pathologist (PRN, Acute Care)

Role: A flexible PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) providing coverage primarily for weekends, with potential weekday shifts, focused on evaluating and treating patients in speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, patients, and families.Conduct patient assessments, establish goals, and evaluate progress, ensuring realistic discharge plans.Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and educational activities adhering to departmental protocols.Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and uphold ethical practices, confidentiality, and safety protocols.Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and team meetings to ensure ongoing competency and knowledge.Deliver excellent customer service, applying AIDET principles, fostering teamwork, and ensuring positive patient experiences. Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and BLS certification required at hire.Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
