Speech Language Pathologist, Per Diem - Samaritan Hospital

Responsibilities

• Formulates comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders.
• Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate).
• Assesses patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations.
• Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree.
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship.
• Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration.
• Minimum of 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience in acute care or Long Term Care environment.
• Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association.

Pay

Pay range: $42.89 - $55.52 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
