Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist to join their Inpatient Rehab at Mt Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital. The role involves performing evaluations, direct patient treatment, and documentation. Responsibilities include working in a neuro-specialized department, treating conditions such as brain injury and stroke, managing tracheostomies, and providing MBS training opportunities. The SLP is responsible for identifying appropriate long and short-term goals and developing treatment plans.

What Will You Do

  • Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals with various communication and swallowing disabilities.
  • Achieves a maximum level of functional independence for patients.
  • Interacts professionally with patients, family members, interdisciplinary team members, and other staff members and colleagues.
  • Conducts education and counseling sessions for clients, families, and staff.
  • Documents patient care accurately in the medical record.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication skills through teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • State of CT Speech-Language Pathology Licensure.
