Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem

About the role

The OhioHealth Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is a joint venture with Select Medical. This position is for a Speech Language Pathologist located in Dublin, OH. The schedule is per diem, requiring 2 shifts per month, including 1 weekend day. Compensation is $52 per hour with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
• Coordinates treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Experience working with patients who have brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software.
