About the Role

The Speech & Language Pathologist provides outpatient clinical services focused on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in children.

Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized care plans
  • Deliver interventions in center-based settings

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program recognized by ASHA or a doctoral degree in related fields
  • Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Alaska
  • At least one year of experience working with children with special needs or developmental delays
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS or PALS may be required based on specialty)

Skills

  • Cultural awareness of Alaska Native populations
  • Understanding of speech and communication disorders
  • Strong clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to develop appropriate treatment plans
