About the Role
The Speech & Language Pathologist provides outpatient clinical services focused on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in children.
Responsibilities
- Develop individualized care plans
- Deliver interventions in center-based settings
Requirements
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program recognized by ASHA or a doctoral degree in related fields
- Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Alaska
- At least one year of experience working with children with special needs or developmental delays
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS or PALS may be required based on specialty)
Skills
- Cultural awareness of Alaska Native populations
- Understanding of speech and communication disorders
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Ability to develop appropriate treatment plans
