Compleat KiDZ is the largest and fastest-growing multi-disciplinary pediatric rehabilitation treatment organization in North Carolina. We provide Occupational, Physical, Speech, and ABA Therapy services to children birth to 18 years of age in our 18 clinics using a play-based model. Our team approach integrates therapy services with OTs, SLPs, PTs, Psychology, and Behavioral Health Clinicians.
About the role
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will assist children in reaching their full potential through evidence-based practices. You will work with a diverse caseload of children and creatively educate guardians and families in a fun, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic.
- Accurate documentation in the EMR system.
- Detailed and thorough communication with a child's healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.
- Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology and/or adaptive equipment as needed.
- Act as a supervisor for Clinical Fellows (CFs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) in the clinic.
Requirements
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
- Active North Carolina licensure in SLP and ASHA certification.
- Pass a background check.
- 1 year of previous pediatric experience is preferred; Clinical Fellows will be considered.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting, and reach with hands and arms.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is required.
