Speech Language Pathologist - Outpatient - Per Diem

Overview

We’re seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for our outpatient office in North Haven. The ideal candidate will have interest in treating adult populations with diagnoses including stroke, Neuromuscular Disorders (Parkinson's, MS) and Concussion. Evaluation and treatment will primarily include speech and language, motor speech and cognitive-communication with some dysphagia as well.

Shift Detail

This clinic is open M-TH from 7am-7pm and Fridays 7am-3:30pm. The ideal candidate would be able to provide two days of coverage for at least 3 hours.

Position Specifics

• Independently evaluates patient’s level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patient/caregiver goals.
• Determines treatment strategies and delivers Speech Language Therapy services that identify, restore, and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize a patient’s safety and independence.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year post-graduate clinical experience required; outpatient experience with adult populations preferred.
• Completion of a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited academic program.
• State of Connecticut License in Speech-Language Pathology.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
