Role Overview: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP Outpatient) provides comprehensive speech-language services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and discharge planning in various settings. They collaborate with healthcare teams, participate in program development, and ensure accurate documentation of patient progress. Key Responsibilities Conduct evaluations by reviewing history, performing assessments, and explaining findings to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes and patient presentation, consulting with other professionals as needed.Manage discharge planning, follow-up care, and ensure timely, accurate documentation of care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.Demonstrate effective time management, flexibility, and empathy to enhance patient access and care experience.Engage in continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor new staff, students, and volunteers. Qualifications And Skills Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY).Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in relevant states.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
