About the role

We provide speech therapy treatment programs based on state practice guidelines. You'll maintain patient records, evaluate responses, recommend changes, participate in in-services, and assist with program development.

Responsibilities

  • Performs evaluations and treatments for age and diagnosis-appropriate patients.
  • Maintains patient records according to standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Recommends alternative plans to meet department needs and adjusts schedules as needed.
  • Attains productivity levels and participates in professional development, training, and credentialing.
  • Educates and trains others within the discipline.
  • Adapts to specific patient populations, ensuring privacy, clear communication, and handling sensitive information.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
  • No prior work experience required, but experience with pediatric and adult populations is preferred.
  • Certification as a Speech Pathologist in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Clinical Competence certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association within two years of hire.

  • Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and information retrieval.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows-style applications and software specific to the role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment.
  • Excellent decision-making skills in diverse patient situations.
