Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Speech-Language Pathologist credential from the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. A provisional license will be accepted until the full license is issued (must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date).
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of Inpatient Rehabilitation experience.
