Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient

About the role

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. This is not an Acute Care position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and other related abilities.
• Create and execute personalized therapy plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Provide extensive education to patients, their families, and caregivers regarding their communication or swallowing disorder, prognosis, therapy techniques and home practice strategies.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals (e.g. physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupation therapists, audiologists, teachers) to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology required.

Skills

• Proficiency in providing top of scope practice in direct patient care to provide various imaging and radiologic procedures.
• Ability to model proficiency through precepting those new to imaging and/or UCHealth.
• Strong interpersonal skills to welcome new knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment.
• Collaborative and multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Pay

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Range: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour.

Schedule

PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks).
