Duties & Responsibilities

  • Completes case management activities consistent with department quality assurance and quality improvement standards.
  • Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames.
  • Affords assistance in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
  • Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and other educational institutions, and other providers to ensure the continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services.
  • All interactions are non-judgmental and based on mutual respect.
  • Demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to improve the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital.
  • Completes diagnostic evaluations consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology and department quality assurance standards.
  • Clinician incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.
  • Provides developmentally appropriate intervention services consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology and department quality assurance standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech- Language Pathology or related field.
  • Experience: Bilingual and/or Spanish speaking candidates highly preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)-Speech-Language Pathologist, State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
