Speech Language Pathologist, Home Health

About the role

Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Assists with clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students.

• Maintains compliance with local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures.
• Supervises and instructs assistants and aides.
• Works in a demanding work environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, and collaborates with colleagues.
• Retains and applies new knowledge and skills, and stays updated on professional practice developments.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited speech pathology program.
• 2 years recent relevant experience.
• SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist certification.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Valid Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance.

Pay

The pay range is $61.16 to $85.62 per hour. The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors such as experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
