Role Overview
The Speech Therapist provides skilled speech/language pathology services to patients with diverse diagnoses and disabilities, tailoring evaluations and treatments to individual needs. This role emphasizes promoting patient independence through professional assessments and consultations, primarily in a home health setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with speech and language disorders, considering physical and age-related factors.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans.
- Deliver therapy in patients' homes, fostering rewarding relationships and exercising professional independence.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's or Ph.D. in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Oregon Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire.
- Specialized training or experience relevant to departmental needs is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
