About the Role

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. This role specializes in providing a comprehensive treatment plan that includes specialized programming and an interdisciplinary team approach to help patients return to productive lifestyles.

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will provide speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatients in compliance with policies and procedures established by the medical center and/or rehabilitation services department. This includes delivering quality care to individuals and families, and participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatients.
  • Deliver quality care to individuals and families.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with swallowing disorders OR extensive dysphagia management experience within an internship/externship program.
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure or provisional permit issued by the State of Idaho.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Active membership within ASHA.
  • Previous experience in Acute Care or Rehabilitation.
