Adult Speech Language Pathologist - Full Time - Days
About the role
At New York‑Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, our Speech‑Language Pathologists help patients with serious impairments connect with the world around them. Our team provides expertise in dysphagia and communication to help patients flourish. We are seeking a full‑time Adult Speech‑Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team to address patient goals.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an outpatient setting
- Work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary care team to provide exceptional care and address patient goals
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology
- Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) within 1 year of hire
- New York State Licensure in Speech‑Language Pathology within 1 year of hire
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Skills
- Experience evaluating and treating adult communication and swallowing disorders
- Voice experience highly preferred
- Experience treating adults with traumatic brain injury and various neurological diagnoses
- Experience working with patients with head and neck cancer, including pre‑ and post‑operative rehabilitation, radiation‑related complications, and laryngeal communication
- Dysphagia evaluation and treatment across the lifespan
- Competency in changing and managing tracheoesophageal prosthesis (TEP), including prosthesis changes and troubleshooting
- Experience with Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies and/or FEES
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team (ENT, Neurology, Oncology)

Pay
Salary range: $104,300 – $132,500 per year
Schedule
Full‑time, day shift with flexible hours; weekend and holiday work required. On‑site presence required; employees must live within a commutable distance to New York‑Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital (no travel reimbursement).
