Speech Language Pathologist (Full-Time)

About the Role

ChildServe has an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Ames, specializing in pediatric rehabilitation. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team to create individualized plans for children with a wide range of diagnoses, providing comprehensive, family-centered speech-language pathology services to children from birth through 21 years in our outpatient service area.

Responsibilities

• Administer appropriate standardized tests, screenings, informal assessments, and clinical observations.
• Review medical, educational, social, and financial information, then provide recommendations, referrals, and follow-up for each case.
• Interpret and counsel test results to children, young adults, and caregivers, offering ongoing feedback regarding progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and revise therapy plans of care based on assessments and policy/regulation requirements.
• Develop individualized plans of care, including appropriate frequency and duration, to meet the needs of the child and caregiver.
• Provide specialized pediatric treatment activities to children and young adults.

Requirements

• A master’s degree in a Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Preferred: 1+ years in clinical practice with pediatric experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
