Speech Language Pathologist (FR)
About the Role
Responsible for administering diagnostic and habilitative/rehabilitative services to patients referred for services and maintaining records pertinent to such services. Observes, evaluates, and documents diagnostic and treatment effects. Consults with supervisor on all pertinent matters for program and professional development, including research projects, expansion of programs, record keeping, policies, and procedures. Participates in team dynamics and interdisciplinary activities as appropriate.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Master's degree in Communication Science and Disorders
- Current Speech Language Pathology License issued by NCBOESLPA
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology awarded by ASHA (or must be obtained within one year of hire)
- Progressive and dynamic knowledge of Speech Language Pathology
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and training to remain current in the field
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medically based Speech Language Pathology setting
- Direct patient care experience with medically complex patients
- Direct patient care experience with trachs/vents and instrumental swallowing evaluation techniques
- Experience applying evidence-based evaluation, treatment techniques, and modalities
