What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed and ASHA-certified SLP (CCC-SLP) as part of your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Support the development of students’ communication skills in areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and pragmatic language.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement IEP goals and therapy strategies across school environments.
- Conduct assessments, collect data, and assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with your supervisor.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions aligned with student IEP goals and district guidelines.
- Receive structured mentoring and feedback from your CF supervisor to support your growth and development throughout your fellowship.
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with district and state documentation requirements.
- Stay informed of best practices and evidence-based strategies in school-based speech-language therapy.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and student-centered school team culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and supervision by a licensed CCC-SLP.
- Active or pending state SLP license in both the state of residence and the state where services will be provided (if different).
- Commitment to completing all Clinical Fellowship requirements as outlined by ASHA.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their communication and educational success.
- Able to accept feedback and engage in reflective practice.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
