Supervision Requirements
- 12 total supervision hours required every 12 weeks
- 6 hours of direct observation, up to 3 of which may be conducted via telesupervision
- 6 hours of indirect observation
- Minimum of 36 total hours over the course of the fellowship, up to 48 hours if needed
- Must be willing to travel on-site to Madras, OR for direct supervision sessions
What You'll Be Doing*
- Serve as the mentoring SLP for a Clinical Fellow (CF) working toward ASHA certification.
- Conduct required direct and indirect observation hours in accordance with ASHA Clinical Fellowship guidelines.
- Provide ongoing feedback, guidance, and support on clinical skills, documentation, and caseload management.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Fellow to develop and monitor progress toward fellowship goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of supervision hours and fellowship progress.
- Follow all relevant legal, ethical, and ASHA guidelines in the provision of clinical fellowship mentorship.
- Stay informed about best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology through professional development activities and continuing education opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Oregon, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Prior experience mentoring Clinical Fellows or supervising graduate clinicians preferred.
- Experience in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Able to work collaboratively with a team of educational professionals.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to clinician and student success.
- Someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing high-quality mentorship.
- Willingness and ability to travel on-site to Madras, OR for supervision sessions.
