Speech Language Pathologist CF Mentor

Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the school setting as an ASHA Certified SLPMaintains appropriate state license and ASHA CCC-SLP throughout the entire CF experience Completes at least two hours of professional development in the area of supervision after being awarded the CCC-SLP (SSG can provide if needed)

Duties/Job Responsibilities

• Provide CF Supervision for CF-SLPs per ASHA guidelines
• Minimum 6 hours of on-site and in-person direct supervision and 6 hours of indirect supervision activities will occur during each third of the CF experience
• Provide CF with the mentorship needed to become an independent practitioner of SLP services.
• Improve the clinical effectiveness of the Clinical Fellow through meaningful mentoring and feedback and assist the Clinical Fellow in developing independent clinical skills.
• Complete all records and feedback/ratings within a timely manner.

• Provide opportunities to view and accurately rate all skills listed in the 2020 CFSI [PDF]
• Provide the minimum required on-site and in-person supervisory activities per segment in order for the hours and weeks earned during that segment to count.

Compensation

The CF Mentor will receive a monthly stipend provided for each CF SLP that is being supervised.
