About the role
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Harc, Inc. Steppingstones supports the developmental needs of children enrolled in the Birth to Three program, focusing on communication development. Key responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing and implementing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), providing direct and/or consultative services, and overseeing data collection.
Responsibilities
- Carry out evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement IFSPs
- Provide direct and/or consultative services to children and families
- Select and support the ongoing use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices/systems
- Oversee data collection
- Use coaching as a style of interaction to ensure parent- or caregiver-implemented evidence-based practices (EBPs)
- Train team members and families as needed
- Adhere to Connecticut Birth to Three System policies and procedures
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification, including participation in ongoing professional development
- Licensure from Connecticut’s Department of Public Health, including ongoing professional development
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working with young children and families preferred
