Speech Language Pathologist
Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and deliver therapy services to adults and school-aged children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes, adult day programs and/or outpatient medical facilities.
- Provide individual, family or collateral psychotherapy to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments.
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team (medical doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, etc.).
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Current licensure by NYS
- Current certification by ASHA
- Ability to work effectively with limited on-site supervision
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with the I/DD population (2+ years is preferable)
- Dysphagia experience, a big plus
- AAC experience strongly preferred but not required
Compensation
$35.00 per 30-minute session; $115.00 for evaluation
