About the role
The Marshall University Speech and Hearing Center (MUSHC) provides evaluation and therapeutic services to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. It is an essential component of the Department of Communication Disorders’ academic program and serves as a clinical site for undergraduate and graduate students. It is one of the largest outpatient speech and hearing centers serving the tri-state community.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services to children with communication and/or swallowing disorders.
- Provide clinical education and supervision to students to ensure they receive the necessary experience to meet ASHA certification standards.
- May be assigned to teach laboratories that are clinical in nature.
- Services may be rendered on- and off-campus per assignment by the Chair or Director of Clinical Education.
