Position Summary
Tulsa Public Schools is seeking energetic, collaborative, and experienced speech-language pathologists to join their exceptional student support services team. The ideal candidate will assess and treat students with various language, pragmatics, articulation, functional communication, voice, and fluency disorders that impact educational learning.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide therapy sessions to students with identified speech and language needs
- Conduct evaluations to determine areas of need and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers to implement effective teaching strategies and accommodations
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent with a major emphasis in speech-language pathology from a regionally accredited academic institution
- Completion of a supervised clinical practicum experience of 400 clock hours, including 375 in direct client contact and 25 in clinical observation
- Completion of a supervised nine-month, full-time, paid postgraduate professional experience approved by the Board of Examiners
- Pass examinations approved by the Board of Examiners
Salary and Schedule
The salary range for this position is $43,500 - $82,548, plus a 5% special education supplement and an additional $5,000 if the Certificate of Clinical Competence is obtained. The salary schedule is available on the school district’s compensation and benefits website.
