Role Overview

This is a full-time or part-time, on-site role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Fort Myers, FL. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

  • Full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week)
  • 2026-2027 academic year (August through May/June)
  • Open to licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and Clinical Fellows (CFY)

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct therapy services to students
  • Conducting evaluations and assessments
  • Developing IEP plans
  • Evaluating student progress
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents)
  • Managing caseload documentation

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
  • State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
  • National License: ASHA Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
  • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
  • CF-SLP placement may be available
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.

Compensation

Competitive compensation: $60-$70+ per hour (approximately $2,400-$2,625 per week). This position will be a 1099 contractor.
