About the Role
This is a full-time or part-time, on-site role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Lacey, WA. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide therapy services to students, conduct assessments, develop IEP plans, evaluate progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
This opportunity is for the 2026-2027 academic year (August 2026 through May/June 2027) with a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week. Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, documentation, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities. Manageable caseloads are designed to support effective service delivery and clinician success.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapy services to students across PreK through 12th grade
- Complete evaluations and develop IEP plans
- Collaborate with educational teams and support assigned case management responsibilities
- Participate in student planning, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary collaboration to support positive student outcomes
- Engage in ongoing collaboration with both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds Partners team
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
- State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
- National License: ASHA Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
- CF-SLP placement may be available
- Experience working with children
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in the use of technology
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical movement functions such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities
- Adhere to the duties outlined by the district
Pay
$55-$65+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of approximately $1100-$1300+.
