About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist at The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh works with infants to young adults to help them reach their full communication potential. They collaborate with families and caregivers to support these patients in their therapy journey.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates patients' functional abilities and disabilities using standardized assessment tools
- Develops measurable functional goals and collaborates with the patient/family to create a treatment plan
- Implements and adjusts the treatment plan based on objective data and clinical considerations
- Affirms the need for assistive technology and educates families on its use
- Prepares for and manages patient discharge during therapy
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited Speech/Language Department
- Certificate of Clinical Competence, Clinical Fellows may be considered
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania as a Speech and Language Pathologist
- Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred
- Current and valid certification in CPR and First Aid (provided by the employer)
- Clearances: Act 33/34, FBI clearance (provided by the employer)
Qualifications

Pay
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a part-time position averaging 30 hours per week, with scheduling as needed Monday through Friday.
