About the role

A Speech Language Pathologist is needed to assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve speech, swallowing, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The position also involves providing age appropriate education for clients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapy sessions to patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
  • Educate clients and caregivers about their conditions and treatment options
  • Supervise and assume responsibility for the care provided by other therapists

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

  • Experience working with individuals of all ages with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
