About the role
Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve speech, swallowing, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform modalities and therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
- Provide effective instruction to patients and families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
- Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
- Operate productively and efficiently in daily operations.
- Select and perform appropriate assessment procedures.
- Establish and update formal plans of care to address individual patient needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Master’s Degree (Preferred)
- Doctorate Degree in Speech (Accepted)
- Speech Language Pathologist License (Required)
