Speech Language Pathologist

About the role

Assesses, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs that improve speech, swallowing, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervises and assumes responsibility for care provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
• Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
• Initiates, develops, and maintains collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
• Produces and efficiently operates in daily operations.
• Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
• Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Master’s Degree (Preferred)
• Doctorate Degree in Speech (Preferred)
• Speech License (Required)

Qualifications

• Experience performing modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
• Ability to provide effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
• Collaborative skills to interact with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
