Speech Language Pathologist

The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2025-2026 school year.

About the role

This position is located at various elementary and secondary schools within the district. The position is permanent and full-time (1.0 FTE).

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services to students with communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Evaluate student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current California State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Experience working with students with communication disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
• Experience with special education students
• Experience with counseling, social work, or teacher librarian roles
• Experience with extracurricular activities and leadership roles

• Proficient in using speech-language pathology software

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $126,000 annually. Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; for external candidates, Column 4 is the maximum incoming placement.

Schedule

The work year for this position is Calendar 28, running from August 11 to June 10 (187 days).
