About the role
The speech-language pathologist (SLP) delivers and supervises others in the delivery of services in the areas of communication, cognition and swallowing. Services are provided within the framework of a team approach, including all disciplines, the patient and their significant others. Provision of services for pediatric, adolescent, inpatient and outpatient populations may be required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes
- Implement and monitor treatment plans, reassessing results and participating in discharge planning
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Comply with Swedish Medical Center standards, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current accepted state of the art practice
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
