Speech Language Pathologist

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-12 students.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services.
  • Serve as the case manager for students eligible under IDEA.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student achievement.
  • Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and school-based collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility.
  • Active or pending Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Professional Special Services Provider License with endorsement in School Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and school-based speech-language services.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.
