About the role

Deliver personalized speech-language pathology care to older adults in private homes and senior living communities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
  • Provide evidence-based therapy interventions
  • Document patient progress and care in an electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs
  • Utilize telehealth platforms when appropriate to enhance care access and flexibility

Requirements

  • Valid state Speech Language Pathologist license
  • Degree from an accredited speech-language pathology program
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and computer-based documentation
  • Current CPR certification

Physical demands

  • Lifting and repositioning patients
  • Extended periods of walking and standing
  • Driving to patient locations
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
