About the role
Deliver personalized speech-language pathology care to older adults in private homes and senior living communities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions
- Document patient progress and care in an electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs
- Utilize telehealth platforms when appropriate to enhance care access and flexibility
Requirements
- Valid state Speech Language Pathologist license
- Degree from an accredited speech-language pathology program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Proficiency with EMR systems and computer-based documentation
- Current CPR certification
Physical demands
- Lifting and repositioning patients
- Extended periods of walking and standing
- Driving to patient locations
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
