Responsibilities
- Responsible for the analysis and the use of purposeful activity with individuals who are limited by development and disorders of speech, voice, swallowing, and related language and hearing disorders to prevent or modify the disorders or to assist individuals in cognition, language, and communication skills.
- Performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops a Plan of Care.
- Implements the Plan of Care.
- Completes effective, professional, and timely documentation.
- Educates patients, families, caregivers, and team members.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program with a Master's degree in Speech/Language or Communication Disorders.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency by the American Speech-Language Association or equivalent coursework to meet these standards, or within CFY year and obtain within one year of hire.
- Current Idaho State SLP license, or provisional licensure.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements
- At least one year of prior experience.
