Speech Language Pathologist

About the role

This position involves providing specialized speech and language therapy services in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess and determine students' speech-language therapy needs.
• Deliver quality therapy services as outlined in students' IEPs.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and participate in team meetings.
• Provide training and maintain regular communication with parents.
• Complete all necessary documentation and reports.
• Participate in staff development and training activities.
• Meet regularly with a supervisor to discuss progress and challenges.

Requirements

• New York State Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities.
• Master's degree in speech-language pathology.
• NYS Professional License as a Speech Language Pathologist.
