Speech Language Pathologist
Role Description
As a Speech and Language Pathologist at the Stockley Center, you will:
- Develop meaningful relationships with your clients and learn about their abilities, interests, and needs.
- Conduct speech, language, communication, and swallowing evaluations.
- Create and implement person-centered treatment plans addressing expressive and receptive language, augmentative and alternative communication, speech intelligibility, and feeding and swallowing.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and direct support professionals.
- Promote resident dignity, choice, independence, and inclusion.
- Train and educate caregivers and direct support professionals.
Qualifications
- Licensure in Delaware as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Ability to address complex communication needs.
- Experience supporting people who are living with significant disabilities.
