Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and provide speech therapy interventions for residents with communication, swallowing, and cognitive needs.
  • Create individualized therapy plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises and strategies to enhance speech and swallowing function.
  • Monitor and document resident progress toward established therapy goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current, valid Oregon state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Must be able to pass a state-required background check prior to patient/resident contact.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Minimum six months of experience in a long-term care environment.
  • Experience with NETHEALTH electronic documentation systems.
