About the role

Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and treating a variety of speech, language, and feeding/swallowing disorders.

Our population consists of Autism (ASD), ADHD, language-based learning disorders, AAC users, motor speech disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, and developmental delays.

Timely completion of documentation including daily SOAP notes, progress notes, initial and re-evaluations.

Implement evidence based, neurodiversity affirming treatment techniques.

Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, BCBA's, psychologists, and other team members to provide a whole child approach.

Effectively provide parent and family education.

Engage in cultural responsiveness when treatment planning for culturally diverse population.

Opportunities to engage in mentorship programs based on your areas of interest including but not limited to: feeding/swallowing, social skills groups, and aquatics therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, screen, and treat speech, language, and feeding/swallowing disorders.
  • Document daily SOAP notes, progress notes, initial and re-evaluations.
  • Implement evidence-based, neurodiversity affirming treatment techniques.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Provide parent and family education.
  • Engage in cultural responsiveness in treatment planning.
  • Participate in mentorship programs based on personal interests.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Washington State Speech Language Pathologist License or interim permit (CFs).
  • 1-3 years experience preferred, but open to new graduates.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with neurodiversity affirming approaches.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
