Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments.
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and/or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
- Participate in IEP and IFSP meetings as a collaborative team member.
- Provide individualized and group therapy services based on student needs.
- Communicate effectively with families, educators, administrators, and related service providers.
- Offer consultation and support to school personnel and caregivers.
- Track student progress and document responses to therapy interventions.
- Submit all required logs, reports, and service documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain supervision records and comply with Maryland state requirements regarding assistants.
- Deliver services in public schools, private schools, and/or Infants & Toddlers Program locations as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology License
- ASHA CCC-SLP Certification (Preferred/Required)
- Prior school-based and/or pediatric experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Additional Information
- Maximum billable hours: 35 hours per week
- Travel time between service locations may be billable when properly documented
- Services must be provided in accordance with Cecil County Public Schools policies, procedures, and applicable state regulations
