Speech Language Pathologist

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and/or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
  • Participate in IEP and IFSP meetings as a collaborative team member.
  • Provide individualized and group therapy services based on student needs.
  • Communicate effectively with families, educators, administrators, and related service providers.
  • Offer consultation and support to school personnel and caregivers.
  • Track student progress and document responses to therapy interventions.
  • Submit all required logs, reports, and service documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain supervision records and comply with Maryland state requirements regarding assistants.
  • Deliver services in public schools, private schools, and/or Infants & Toddlers Program locations as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology License
  • ASHA CCC-SLP Certification (Preferred/Required)
  • Prior school-based and/or pediatric experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Additional Information

  • Maximum billable hours: 35 hours per week
  • Travel time between service locations may be billable when properly documented
  • Services must be provided in accordance with Cecil County Public Schools policies, procedures, and applicable state regulations
