Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills, identifying individual competencies and characteristics.
• Develop tailored treatment programs for children with speech and language deficiencies, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives.
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support to educational staff, helping them integrate strategies for enhancing students' communication skills within the classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of diverse communication disorders and their interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration among students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual student needs and advancements in the field.
• Dedication to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices.

Start date: 09/01/2026. Salary per the current negotiated contract.
