Speech Language Pathologist

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-home care in Hudson County, NJ. The position offers flexible per diem scheduling, manageable geographic territories, and one-on-one patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home speech therapy evaluations and treatments for adult and geriatric clients
• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams
• Modify care plans as patient needs evolve
• Educate patients and caregivers to promote safety, independence, and improved quality of life
• Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Complete timely electronic documentation using a tablet-based EMR system

Qualifications

• Current NJ Speech Language Pathologist license required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Home health experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable with electronic documentation/EMR systems
