Speech Language Pathologist
About the role
The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.
Responsibilities
- Perform student evaluations
- Provide and document therapy services
- Develop and follow the plan of care for each student
- Adhere to physician's orders
Requirements
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Qualifications
- Minimum education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience: Experience working in a school setting is preferred

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of speech-language pathology techniques and interventions
