Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

About the role

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is a therapist-owned and operated facility specializing in individualized care plans for pediatric patients. We provide personal attention, mentoring, and career support to our clinicians to help them best serve our patients in a therapeutic and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders in the patient’s home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements

• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.
• Bilingual is preferred, but not required.
