About the role
This role is responsible for providing support to speech-language pathologists in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and a passion for helping patients improve their communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations of patients
- Help prepare treatment plans and provide ongoing care
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Support the administrative tasks of the SLP team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS)
- Knowledge of assistive technology and its applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially
- Good physical stamina for standing and moving throughout the day
