About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant at William Lynch Elementary supports students with speech and language needs under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for working with children. -
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities.
- Provide therapy sessions to students as directed by the SLP.
- Document progress notes and report on student performance to the SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a training program in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a therapeutic setting is preferred.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
