About the role
Provide compassionate and evidence-based care in a therapeutic setting. Assist patients in achieving their communication goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed therapists in conducting therapy sessions
- Help patients practice and reinforce new skills learned in therapy
- Document patient progress and communicate with families and other healthcare providers
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Passing score on the Praxis II exam for SLPA
- Knowledge of clinical procedures and techniques
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to use specialized software for therapy documentation
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
