About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides support in developing appropriate educational programs for students with speech-language impairments, as mandated by State/Federal regulations. The SLP is directly responsible to the school principal and special education personnel. Program compliance and quality control are monitored by the special education director and the specialist for Speech-Language Pathology.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Compliance with USBE state license requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills with students, parents, and staff
- Strong computer and educational technology skills
- Effective problem solving, organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Ability to calmly handle classroom management issues
- Ability to work as a member of a team as well as the ability to work independently
